Transfer Students from a Florida public state college/university:

If you are a student transferring from a Florida public state college or university, you can meet the same requirements. Students are encouraged to complete an Associate of Arts degree with Valencia College or with a Florida public state college or university to meet the General Education Program (GEP) requirements. Additionally, the Architecture classes listed as pre-requisites can be taken at Valencia College or various institutions around the state. Similar courses, or courses from schools outside the Florida public state college and university system (including all out of state institutions and all private colleges and schools), will need to be evaluated for equivalency by the University of Central Florida’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions *AND* the faculty of the UCF Architecture Program. Similar courses are not guaranteed to transfer. Therefore, it is recommended that the Architecture Pre-Requisites be taken at Valencia College or a Florida public college or university.

Transfer to UCF from a regionally accredited institution outside of Florida or a private institution in Florida:

Students transferring to UCF from any other institution will need to meet the UCF GEP requirements and complete the 10 architecture pre-requisites listed above to be considered for admission to the Architecture program. Courses from schools outside the Florida public state college and university system (including all out of state, international, and all private institutions), will need to be evaluated for equivalency by the University of Central Florida’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions *AND* the faculty of the UCF Architecture Program. Similar courses are not guaranteed to transfer. Therefore, it is recommended that the Architecture Pre-Requisites still be taken at Valencia College or a Florida public state college or university.
